Job Description:
American Credit Exchange, Inc., is looking for a dynamic and driven Collection Manager with 5+ years of successful experience leading and managing in a third party environment. Candidate will play critical role in assisting with the company’s intended growth. Position Summary:
The Collection Manager manages and directs the daily activities of the agency to ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations and ensure that established corporate, client and unit goals are met or exceeded. Develop and propose strategies, policies and procedures that ensure the effective and efficient operation of the activities within the department at competitive levels. Oversee and support the supervision, development and motivation of unit employees.
Nevada Qualified Managers (QM) Licence Preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) or more years of Collection field experience required
- Five (5) or more years of Collection Management experience required
- Excellent knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and rules concerning collections
- Proven ability to organize, motivate and supervise the work of others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· QM License for the State of Nevada
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee activities of staff to ensure coordination of efforts and compliance with company related policies, procedures and strategies
- Analyze and evaluate policies and procedures followed by department and propose new policies/procedures and/or revisions to existing policies/procedures to ensure maximum operational efficiency
- Implement corrective measures where necessary to ensure compliance
- Ensure appropriate policy and procedure manuals are maintained
- Maintain systematic methods as approved by the company to ensure that collection techniques, methods and documentation of activities performed by each Account Representative are reviewed, monitored, evaluated and critiqued on a regular and consistent basis
- Provide one-on-one assistance and ongoing training and development for Supervisors in developing and improving leadership and motivational skills
- Assist Supervisor to reach department performance levels
- Develop, recommend, and implement plans to increase recoveries and reduce expenses including specific campaigns, schedules, personnel, strategies and collection techniques
- Identify and recommend changes and/or enhancements to automated systems to increase recoveries and/or productivity
- Ensure appropriate disciplinary action is taken in the event an employee does not follow policy and/or procedure
- Assist Supervisor through coaching phase of discipline process and handle subsequent phases of disciplinary process
- Consistently review activities of Supervisor to ensure consistent application of policy and procedure within department
- Recruit, interview and select new employees
- Continuously evaluate staff performance and ensure that regular performance appraisals are conducted
- Oversee initial training of employees and identify ongoing training and development needs and ensure implementation of programs/activities to meet these needs
- Determine staffing needs to adequately cover inventory and telephone activity and establish schedules within department to accommodate those needs
- Define and recommend enhancements to the automated system functions and identify changes as needed to enhance results
- Design reports from the systems as required
- Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of Federal regulations, state statutes, bankruptcy laws, FDCPA and all other applicable laws, regulations, etc., governing activities
- Performs other duties as assigned.
